Our Demolition Process

Thorough Onsite Inspection

We meet with you and conduct a thorough onsite inspection to learn about your demolition project, your plans for the space, and the structure's condition, as well as determine what preparation is required, including permits, notifying utility companies, bringing in mold or asbestos remediation specialists, and site preparation.

Demo Patrol will contact your local building department to obtain any demolition permits required. Our demo expert will then draw site plans, map out utility disconnects, work with the county to schedule inspections, and ensure the project is up to code.

Disconnect Utilities

Demo Patrol will handle disconnecting utilities in the house. We will contact utility companies to cap off plumbing, water, gas, and sewage to code. Our demolition experts take all measures to ensure the structure is safe to demolish before proceeding.

Asbestos and Mold Inspection

Demo Patrol will work with your local building department to see if your structure needs testing for asbestos or other hazardous materials. If so, we will schedule a time for a third-party company to inspect the mobile home or other structure for asbestos and mold. If they find mold or asbestos, we connect you with a professional abatement team to safely remove it before demolition.

Hazardous Materials Removal

Remove hazardous materials, such as flammable liquids or gasses, pesticides, and other chemicals. Demo Patrol keeps an inventory of hazardous waste and helps you with disposal. We have seen everything from sharps to dangerous chemicals.

Demo Patrol will ensure that anyone involved in demolition wears appropriate PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, heavy-duty gloves, steel-toed boots, ear protection, protective coveralls, and dust masks or respirators as needed.

Secure the Area

Depending on the job size, Demo Patrol will secure the job site. Sometimes, we will put up temporary fencing, board windows while we are gone, or even hire security overnight. We also have traffic cones, signs, and lights to push traffic away from the job. Interior work sites stay sealed with heavy plastic until the final cleanup. We put up signage and abide by WHMIS health and safety procedures.

Structural Integrity Checks

Demo Patrol will assess the integrity of all structures to plan the demolition sequence. We take measures when necessary to prevent unexpected collapses during the deconstruction process.

Comprehensive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

To protect all team members, we equip them with essential PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, heavy-duty gloves, ear protection, dust masks or respirators, and steel-toe boots. This gear is mandatory on all demolition sites to ensure maximum safety.

Demo Patrol implements stringent security measures such as sealing interior spaces with heavy plastic and floor protection, temporary fencing, property boarding, and traffic management to safeguard the demolition area and prevent unauthorized access.

Hazardous Materials Management

We take serious steps to identify and safely remove hazardous materials found on demolition sites, adhering to strict environmental and safety regulations. This process includes safely removing flammable substances and chemicals and handling them appropriately to prevent health risks.
